Apparently the Whitecaps like drafting Sounders more than actually having them. One day after taking Sanna Nyassi in the expansion draft and then shipping him out, Vancouver has now sent expansion pick Nate Sturgis across the country to Toronto for a No. 1 SuperDraft pick.

Good luck Nathan….Toronto is a great city. You’ll be missed here in Seattle.

Were the Whitecaps more interested in wounding the Sounders than helping themselves?

  3. JKJ – I suspect the moves by both Vancouver and Portland were aimed more at accruing allocation money… though hitting their main rivals probably was a side benefit.

Anyone else watching Barca v Real Madrid on their lunch break? It’s on ESPN3.
