The EPL season got going this morning. I was tempted — but didn’t quite — set my alarm for the first game.

In any case, here’s a link to the website. And if you guys would like to make this a little more of an EPL-discussion area — especially during the 72 hours or so of the MLS off-season — we can make that happen. How about some first-day thoughts and predictions as we’re counting down to that 8 p.m. Sounders kickoff?

Me, I’m just happy to have Newcastle back up with the big boys.

  1. EverydayFan says:

Really enjoyed the 1st half of the Chelsea game – Drogba putting on a show with his free kicks … What a squad that have.

  2. I’m feeling pretty good about Arsenal. Heart says they’ll win it all, mind says Chelsea is going to repeat.

Glad they scored the 5th… a day with Blackpool on top of the table is a day too long. :)

And DR, I’m like you. I tend to be ambitious about getting up early to watch the first match but usually roll out to catch part of the second half after getting the coffee going. World Cup seems like the only time I have that kinda motivation.
