Coach Sigi Schmit watches Sounders train at Starfire today

The Sounders had an exceptionally spirited training session this morning at Starfire. The only downside seemed to be Brad Evans going down once more with the knee-locking issue that has haunted him for a while. It’s usually not a big enough deal to keep him out of action this weekend. But coach Sigi Schmid said it could be something that might need to be corrected after the season.

Meanwhile, recovering players such as Nate Jaqua and Pete Vagenas continue to appear ready for Philadelphia on Sunday.
