Adrian Hanauer’s announcement of the team credit after yesterday’s awful game was the buzz-producing news from the Sounders today.
But there was other news as well.
Over the long haul, the most important might have been Hanauer’s apparent readiness to shake up his roster — and I’ll put up a post on that in a few minutes.
However, there were also some other notes, including some generally good news on the injury situation:
* The Sounders reserves beat the Yakima Reds of the Premier Development League, 2-1. Roger Levesque scored both Seattle goals.
* Pat Noonan (hamstring) played 30 minutes in the reserve game. If he responds well, he might be available Saturday at New York.
*Forward Nate Jaqua (lower abdomen) is expected to start training with the team this week.
*The quad injury suffered by midfielder Osvaldo Alonso on Saturday doesn’t appear as bad as the club originally feared – a one- or two-week injury, Schmid estimated.
* The Sounders are off Monday before returning to training Tuesday at Starfire.
