Update: * Noonan said he signed. The Sounders say they have no signings to announce. So. Meanwhile, coach Sigi Schmid did agree that it’s pretty much time for a decision one way or another on Parke, who was scheduled to meet with Sounders officials this afternoon. More to come.

That’s the news from today’s Sounders camp. Ljungberg’s back injury is serious enough that he’s not certain of his status for Saturday.

However, Pat Noonan has been signed and might make his Sounders debut then.

And finally, Jeff Parke will meet with Sounders management today and if all goes well, he could sign too, and he also could be in uniform Saturday.

Back with more later.

What are the roster impacts? Will Graham be put on IR, will Vagenas be released, put on IR?

Got to find the roster space somewhere.

  2. I don’t think this bodes well for Levesque, quite honestly. Hopefully Sigi will make the right choice and keep him over someone like Sturgis or VJJ.

  3. derekyoung says:

Roger is probably still ok with Nate on IR and Kufo not here until after the World Cup (or does he count as a roster spot already?) But after that he’ll probably find himself as tradebait unless he can step it up.

I do think Graham may be done if Parke signs which sucks. Just can’t seem to get healthy.

  4. carella211 says:

good signing, if it happens. both noonan and parke. and it will be interesting to see what happens with the roster

  5. ciscokid says:

I suspect, depending on salary cap parameters that this MIGHT be it for Pete. At $165K, he’s an expensive sub. Hard to imagine they can sign both Parke and Noonan without subtracting some serious salary

  6. WendellGee says:

If Noonan can recapture even some of his old form then I think the singing of these two could be quite signifcant.
