Seattle among 18 USA World Cup bid cities

Anything else would have been a surprise. But it’s still pretty exciting. Here’s the full list of 18 host cities that are part of the United States’ bid for the 2018 or 2022 World Cup: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, Seattle, Tampa and Washington, D.C.

Both Qwest Field and Husky Stadium remain in the running if the games come to Seattle. Here’s a far more detailed report from the SoundersFC site.

    Pretty cool. I’m surprised at some of the selections but I guess you can’t expand the game without having a couple stretch markets.
