Not much news coming out of Sounders training today … I mostly interviewed for stories we’ll run later in the week, since this was the club’s final local practice before flying out to Columbus tomorrow.

However, there remain a lot of items for fans to consider this week: the playoff race, the scoreboard watching, Sigi Schmid’s return to Columbus (as well as Brad Evans’ and Ezra Hendrickson’s), the need for points in a place where the home team rarely surrenders any.

In any case, any or all of that might be on the agenda at 6:07 p.m. today when I talk a little Sounders soccer with Dave “The Groz” Grosby on KRJ 950-AM.

The conversation also can be heard online at the KJR Website.

Find a way to work into the conversation how Mitch managed to piss off Sounder Nation by dissing the USOC win. Got a great story about a hometown club and he’s too ignorant to realize the importance. I suppose he’s just becoming more and more irrelevant in the Seattle sports scene as the years pass. He probably belongs on FM with the other shock jocks.

Dallas beats Revs tonight. Great for us right now but hopefully Dallas cools off by the last game. They are at 33 points and surging

CT, I raised the Open Cup victory a couple of times, but the conversation never really turned in that direction.

CK: Exactly. As I have now noted in a post above.
