Sounders likely to increase Qwest capacity

mlsseaThe Sounders are one game away from ending their home regular season without playing to an unsold seat.

When the regular season ends on Oct. 24, they will have set the MLS season record for both average attendance and total home attendance. And will all indications that their attendance comes not from first-year curiosity but from real on-going interest, the club seems just about decided on an expanded seating configuration for the 2010 season … probably by opening the 2,200 seats of the Hawks Nest in the north end zone.
