This is the Sounders’ U.S. Open Cup championship banner, that will be unfurled in pregame ceremonies alongside the USL-1 Sounders championship banners above the west stand at Qwest Field.

As I type, the Cup itself is being marched to the match from Occidental Park. And it will be included in ceremonies before today’s game against Chivas. And Open Cup championship T-shirts are on sale at the stadium.

The cup also will be on public display Sunday in downtown Seattle, according to this announcement from the Sounders:

Sounders FC players will appear at The Pro Shop at Pacific Place on Sunday, September 20 from 2-4 p.m. The U.S. Open Cup trophy will also be on display for fans to view and pose for photographs.

The Pro Shop at Pacific Place is located on Level-3 next to Benetton. The Shop features a wide variety of Sounders FC and Seahawks team merchandise, including authentic jerseys, outerwear, hats, household items and sports jewelry, along with women’s and children’s clothing.

The appearance is part of the Pacific Place “All For Fall Seattle Sports Spectacular”. Players scheduled to appear include the following:

2-3 p.m. — Taylor Graham, Jhon Kennedy Hurtado

3-4 p.m.– Evan Brown, Patrick Ianni

Due to varying line length, staff cannot always guarantee that all those in line will receive autographs. For this reason, autographs are limited to two per person.
