Heading to Columbus, thanks to you

We’ll be in Columbus covering the Sounders’ Oct. 3 game against the Crew … thanks to your overwhelming — and maybe even unanimous — advice.

And we were thinking alike, because that game at Columbus strikes me as the most interesting remaining game of this regular season: the defending MLS champions, Sigi Schmid’ return to Columbus, the 10-year anniversary of MLS’ first soccer-specific stadium, and a very important game heading down the stretch of the MLS playoff run.

Nice pick.

Glad we could help you out Don…and thanks for asking

Columbus has a mixture of CCL and league games on Sept 13,16,20,23,26,29 and then Seattle Oct 3rd. That’s 7 games in just under 3 weeks.

How good teams deal with the challenge of schedule congestion while trying to represent to their fans is yet another interesting angle to your trip, especially since this is what Seattle will face next year.

DC has not fared so well. Columbus early on has been a mixed bag. I’ll be curious to see where they are 4 weeks from now.

If I remember correctly, TNT was going to pay for those who picked correctly to join you. I’ll happily save them money by flying coach.

    Wow Cisco, that’s insane.
Has to hurt them v. us.
