Seahawks take 4,000 tickets back from brokers; public single-game sales July 13 and 20

My story at the top of today’s News Tribune is big news for anyone who’s thought he or she was shut out from getting affordable Seahawks tickets for a regular-season game at virtually sold-out CenturyLink Field.

Put another way: You have more of a chance to buy a ticket to a real Seahawks game this coming season than you do to sold-out training camp that begins July 31:

Finally.

After years of fruitless waits, fans on the Seahawks’ long wait list for season tickets now have their chance to get into what is virtually a sold-out stadium.

Kam Chancellor’s 2nd of back-to-back days a focus for Seahawks today; Hawks have NFL’s most expensive secondary-market tickets

–Back in damp, cool Renton for the Seahawks’ final practice of the training-camp portion of the preseason. Today is “family day” at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, with the players’ spouses, girlfriends and family romping around the facility and their kids playing on inflatables during practice. After today, the players — specifically, the veterans — are no longer bound to team hotels and bed checks after meetings each night. (Read here why that has been of particular import this week in the Marshawn Lynch assault accusation.) The players can go to their homes following their work days.
