Seahawks (very) off; Phil Bates, explained; NFC West’s start to the season today

The Seahawks are so off right now.

After film and treatment Friday, they didn’t have practice Saturday and don’t again today. Effectively, the Thursday night opening win over Green Bay created a mini bye this weekend for the Seahawks. They practice Monday in Renton — then are off again Tuesday for the weekly players’ rest day mandated by the collective bargaining agreement. Volia! Three days off from practice in four days.

The Raiders came will a final determinant on who should be the primary backup quarterback, and on whether Seattle

Tweet link: Report: Bradford has torn ACL

The Seahawks play the Rams next Monday and could be facing Kellen Clemens, not Sam Bradford.

To update, a few other reporters have confirmed this. Sounds like Bradford is out for the year. Clemens has seven touchdowns and 13 interceptions in his career. The Seahawks lead the league with 11 interceptions.
