In what will only surprise those who believe everything they read and hear, the Seahawks did not make a deal before the league’s deadline for trades arrived this afternoon at 1 p.m. Seattle time.
The only roster moves: Seattle waived wide receiver Phil Bates and tight end Brett Brackett, likely in hopes of getting one or both on to its practice squad if no other team claims them before 1 p.m. tomorrow (waivers last 24 hours).
