Good sunny Sunday morning.  The Seahawks were off Saturday and are off again from practice today — days off mandated by the most recent collective bargaining agreement. The players return to practice Monday through Thursday for Friday’s third exhibition, at home against Chicago. This week will likely be most starters’ final and most-extensive preseason action before the Sept. 4 opener against Green Bay.

He’s healed! Rookie DE Cassius Marsh’s MRI A-OK, could play tomorrow; Carpenter, Unger likely; Lynch might; Okung likely won’t

One of the sporting games within a game of the preseason is the back-and-forth we writers get to have each week with the coach on who may or may not play in each of these four preseason games.

Today was the latest bi-play, with coach Pete Carroll pleasantly joking over whether many of his baker’s dozen veterans that missed last week’s exhibition opener at Denver will play tomorrow night when the Seahawks play San Diego in their first contest at CenturyLink Field since January’s NFC championship game.
