While you were a nervous wreck, unable to sleep and wishing the game would get here already, Russell Wilson just finished his normal Saturday.

He planned on sleeping almost 12 hours.

Russell Wilson: “I don’t read y’all’s articles. I don’t watch ESPN”

That was the Seahawks’ quarterback’s answer to how he “ignores the noise” during a championship-game week, which he and the Seahawks keep saying is just another game week for them.

Wilson improved to 17-3 in December, Janaury and February when he threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns on just 15 completions last weekend in the divisional round against Carolina. He was 8 for 8 for 199 yards and all three scores on third downs.

Report: Favre staying retired

The Brett Favre watch appears to be over.

Jay Glazer of Fox Sports is reporting that Favre called Minnesota head coach Brad Childress to let him know that he would not be joining the team and will remain retired.

According to sources, Favre came to the conclusion in the last couple days that he did not have enough left in the tank to grind through a 19th season in the NFL. Sage Rosenfels and Tarvaris Jackson will now compete for the starting quarterback job for the Vikings.
