When Monday is a Thursday: Seahawks three days from opener

Happy Labor Day. Hope you have a chance to relax and enjoy — including as you read this, of course.

This is no holiday for the Seahawks or Packers. Yesterday was a Wednesday and today is a Thursday for them.

A normal practice week has been condensed and accelerated to a Sunday-through-Wednesday practice schedule for Thursday’s NFL opener between Seattle and Green Bay. So this afternoon’s workout at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center for the Seahawks will be like what a lighter, Thursday practice usually is with a Sunday game during the regular season.
