Sunday is here and it actually is a championship week. The Seahawks can clinch the whole regular-season kit, caboodle and home cookin’. A win or tie today, or a San Francisco 49ers loss or tie, will give the Seahawks the NFC West and homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.
“If we do win, obviously there’s a lot of great things that happen after that, but you don’t really focus on that,” Russell Wilson said Thursday. “You focus on the moment, you focus on the now, and that’s trying to prepare today first, and then get to Sunday and play a great football game.”
The Seahawks need some help from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to wrap things up today. They also need a win of their own, which I don’t think should be much of a problem (I picked a 35-17 win in the paper). By game time, the weather will be cool and windy, but dry.
