You can’t take the bus, Gus

Seahawks fans that normally use King County Metro Transit’s Seahawks game day bus service from park-and-ride lots will need to secure alternate transportation to the preseason games, the team announced today.



This past April, the Federal Transit Administration ruled that if any private bus operators are interested in providing game day transportation services for fans then Metro would not be permitted to operate the bus service. The Seahawks were obligated to negotiate with those charter bus companies.



The Seahawks received one bid which included an increase in passenger fares by $14.

Seahawks to Thank Fans at Sunday’s Game

KIRKLAND, WASH. – The Seattle Seahawks and their partners will show appreciation for the fans during Sunday’s game vs. the Baltimore Ravens by awarding prizes to fans and sections throughout the game. Fans and seating sections will be randomly selected.


50,000 "12" flags provided by Qwest, 50,000 team posters, 35,000 playoff rally cards, and over 3,500 prizes will be distributed throughout the game.


Fan giveaways include the following:

– 4,000 Jones Soda Holiday Packs

– 2,000 Jones Soda/Seahawks co-branded lime green t-shirts

– 1,100 gift cards from Lowe’s

– 500 Wells Fargo/Seahawks

Seahawks Coaches and Players to Take First VMAC Tour

This is a Seahawks press release



WHAT:Seahawks coaches and players will visit Virginia Mason Athletic Center (VMAC) for the first time.


Coaches and players will walk-thru the indoor practice facility and view the outdoor practice fields.


Coaches and players will not be available for interviews or comments.

Bobby Engram to Appear at Northwest Builders Show

Seattle, Wash. – Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Bobby Engram will be on hand at the Northwest Builders Show to promote the Turf Evolutions brand of artificial turf at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue on Tuesday, December 11 from noon to 6 p.m.

Engram is part owner of Turf Evolutions’ Seattle division. The company sells and installs environmentally friendly artificial turf for golf course, athletic field, putting green and landscape applications for residential and commercial properties.
