Two more Marshawn Lynch originals as Seahawks steamroll the Cardinals. Both were brilliant

Two more Marshawn Lynch originals tonight in Arizona:

And this then after the game:

Instead of “yeah,” instead of “no” — his responses in previous postgame inteviews, Marshawn Lynch was holiday-spirit thankful tonight after truly running over the Cardinals.

Here’s what it looked like just inside the doorway to the Seahawks’ locker room at University of Phoenix Stadium.

Numbers say this is the best three-game stretch for the Seahawks’ thumping defense since 2004

Tharold Simon makes it big in Philly:

Earl Thomas expected this.

Michael Bennett didn’t. He says the Seahawks didn’t expect to give up 139 yards at Philadelphia yesterday. How many did the defensive end figured they’d allow the Eagles?

“Zero yards,” Bennett said, without smiling.

“We don’t expect anyone to make a yard. That’s just the way we are.

“I don’t think anything’s changed. I think this is

Seahawks get turnover on 1st play on 3rd quarter, leading 10-7 at Philadelphia

Through two quarters this game is just like the Seahawks’ previous two: Smothering, smacking defense controlling the game; the offense squandering chances. The only difference: Punter Jon Ryan dropping a punt snap right to his hands in the first quarter. That’s the only reason Philadelphia has scored.

The Seahawks have 242 yards to Philadelphia’s 67. They have 14 first downs to the Eagles’ five. Yet Seattle’s lead is only 10-7 at halftime.

Philadelphia came in fourth in the league at 31.3 points and 416.2 yards on offense per game. The Eagles were averaging 5.7 yards per play. They are getting

Seahawks feeling renewed while beginning preparations for Sunday’s game at Philadelphia

Seeing Arizona lose again yesterday further reinforced what Pete Carroll more than two weeks ago, before the Seahawks’ surge and the Cardinals’ swoon left Seattle (8-4) one game out of first place in the NFC West with four games remaining in the regular season:

“Everything’s still out there” for his team,” Carroll said on Nov. 19.

Wins over the Cardinals and 49ers later, the Seahawks begin preparations for Sunday’s game at the Eagles (9-3) knowing they still have a game to play at Arizona in three weeks. Many are focusing on Arizona’s offense after Drew Stanton threw two more interceptions

Lemuel Jeanpierre listed as Seahawks’ starting center tonight at San Francisco

Happy Thanksgiving!

That’s a 12th Man flag hanging on the railing behind the goal line of the north end zone at Levi’s Stadium here in Santa Clara. And, yes, the Seahawks are in all gray.

The inactives have one semi-surprise: Nickel back Jeremy Lane is out with a gluteus-muscle injury. That means Marcus Burley, back off a hamstring injury, is likely to be inside as the fifth defensive back on passing downs with starting cornerback Byron Maxwell staying outside at corner — though that could switch with Maxwell inside at nickel and Burley outside depending on matchups with five

Pete Carroll: Marshawn Lynch’s back getting more attention, but just normal managing, wear

Marshawn Lynch has had to stay outside on the sidelines getting treatment during halftime in 10-degree wind chill at Kansas City because his low back was aching. He’s had to sit out two drives in the first half of yesterday’s game against Arizona in Seattle while spending some of the time next to the bench sitting on a stationary bike and not pedaling.

The last three weeks, the Seahawks’ star running back had to sit out practices on Wednesday and Thursday. The first week it was rest and a calf injury. The second
