Got a lot of stories to crank now, so I’ll just hit some high spots for now. Lots of players still injured or resting today. Carpenter, Bowie, Richardson, Marsh, Baldwin, Norwood, Harvin, Zach Miller, Michael Bennett, Wagner were off Thursday. To help with some depth at receiver, they signed Ronald Johnson, a third-year receiver out of USC. A spot was opened when Anthony McCoy was put on IR after his Achilles injury Tuesday. Nothing more specific on the Jesse Williams knee injury, but Carroll said it’s serious and possibly require surgery.

Numerous sources report that Marshawn Lynch will end his holdout tomorrow, but Carroll said he has nothing to report.

Thursday’s workout looked like the most sloppy of training camp, with numerous flags being thrown on both sides of the ball. When asked, Carroll explained that it was the day NFL refs showed up and were calling it tight. Carroll said he was going to debrief the refs afterward to try to get explanations for their rulings.

As it is Marine Week in Seattle, there was a strong military presence at VMAC, with a helicopter exercise taking place after practice, in which Marines jumped out of low flying helicopters and into Lake Washington.

Yes , beast returns just as I advertised. I wonder if he’s getting a happy ending?

  2. DisplacedSeahawkFan says:

I feel bad for Jesse Williams. He has so much potential that will probably never materialize. If he requires knee surgery his season is probably over, again. Although I concede it’s too early to tell, and I simply don’t know, I’m guessing that if misses another season his career in the NFL won’t amount to much.

  3. trout_hound says:

Glad he’s back. Would be fine if they decided to FEED THE BEAST. Or at least have Paul hire him to mow his lawn for a million or something. Gotta have that Beast Mode on offense for at least one more season.

  4. Ewalters7354 says:

I personally can care less if he’s back. My biggest hope is that he still gives it his all.Because we’ve seen how unhappy players act time after time.Hopefully it’s different this time around.

  5. BeastMode doesnt know anything other than being a Beast. Regardless of his feelings being hurt, the guy is going to give 110% and tear it up. Thats what he does.

  6. Ewalters7354 says:

    How do you know STTBM?

  7. Southendzone says:

STT: Your comment about Beast Mode (Thats what he does) reminds me of my all time favorite Joe Pesci movie clip.

WARNING! there are 4 swear words in this clip if that kind of stuff offends you.

  8. Dukeshire says:

Ewalters7354 – Lynch has never given anything less than his all, on every carry, since he came to Seattle. I see no reason why that would change now.

  9. Ewalters7354 says:

But we see what he did in Buffalo Duke. Not saying he won’t give his all,but we see time after time guys being unhappy not giving their all, playing uninspired.Really hope this situation works out for both sides.

  10. Dukeshire says:

Hoping for the best, that’s for sure.

  11. tealskin says:

If Marshawn doesn’t give it his all it would be out of character for who he has been with the Hawks. Also it would be obvious and probably mean the end of his career. No next season with any team. Don’t think that’s the way he wants to go out.

  12. FivePercentWrong says:

Hard to picture Lynch pulling an Alexander.

    South, great clip.

I am very curious to see how they use Michael this season. Am I wrong to expect him to be active every game this season? Is Michael still not ST material?

  13. Ewalters7354 says:

Soon after getting his big pay day Alexander became injury prone, but still gave his all.Two totally different scenarios.

Lynch just wants more money and I don’t blame him.But you cannot expect a raise at your demand. He’s been paid so well he was able to get that fine lamborghini,a grill, watches for his online and way more than I even know.

Players know how the NFL works with not honoring contracts,so they are doing the same, and believe I’m on their side, but I just hate having these dumb distractions on a team that has a chance to become a dynasty.

    Just sayin…

  14. Ewalters7354 says:

I never understood why people say Alexander didn’t give his all.The man was never a physical runner even though he was just as big as Lynch. He was always a cutback runner and a damn good one until his team became terrible and he started getting injured.I’m not mad at him for that.Just bad karma.

Even though he’s an idiot in person or at least he was to me..
