Believe it or not, the NCAA sanctions against USC are just now ending. The LA Times talked to Pete Carroll about that.

I doubt any successful college coach is entirely clean if you assume that the NCAA is indeed a moral and righteous body (hahhahaha, lol, o crab, laughing so hard…. gonna herniate or worse)

  2. FleaFlicker says:

Of course Pete Carroll should be held responsible for the behavior of family members of a player.

    SARCASM.

  3. SandpointHawk says:

Embarrassed by the Times attempt to smear Pete. I was proud to work for the Times- Mirror Corporation as a baseball, football and finally music reporter for over 15 years. SMH and thinking about updating resume…

I don’t see the article as an attempt to smear Pete. If Pete left to avoid sanctions or because the opportunity to coach in Seattle was something he couldn’t resist will never be known. I think the article is fair to both sides and allows the reader to make their own conclusions.

Good response FleaFlicker. I totally agree.

I’ve always had a problem with people or institutions that feel like one person should be responsible for the actions of another person.

Huzzah! The CFL and the CFLPA just agreed on a new CBA. Raises the Cap for each team to 5 million per team which is better than the 6.2 million the players wanted.

Of course many players are going to vote no, because they don’t like the fact that the threshold for triggering a new CBA is a gross league profit of $27 million and not the $18 million the players wanted.

Not that this means anything to this blog. Just putting it into perspective that the NFL and its crazy money is an anomaly and isn’t any form of reality. Remember, the CFL is the second highest pro football league behind the NFL in talent and in pay.

Good news Chuck. Always enjoy my BC Lions in the summer!

A short, semi-interesting article about Golden Tate not returning punts in Detroit.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/06/09/golden-tate-likes-returns-reggie-bush-doesnt-lions-will-ask-neither/

The best part is Reggie Bush saying he’s graduated from returning punts and GT saying he’ll do anything to help the team.
