    Nicely done Todd

  2. What’s the deal with all the questions about other teams? Lame.

  3. FleaFlicker says:

    Awesome job Todd

  4. Crap! Missed the live chat, and I really wanted to ask Rang some questions regarding the WR crop. Ah well…

  5. chuck_easton says:

Why is it ‘LAME’ to ask questions about other teams and their potential draft needs/choices?

Yes, I’m a Seahawks fan. But I also want to know what Rang thinks the chances of the 49rs moving up and getting a stud WR are. That directly effects my team.

I also want to know what some other teams might be doing.

  6. Southendzone says:

Totally agree Chuck. We’re sitting at #32, but there will be lots of exciting stuff going on before us. STL for one is probably the biggest player in the 1st round.

    Can’t wait for next Thursday.

  7. chuck_easton says:

And lets be honest here. This is the Seattle Seahawks we are talking about.

I’m already going into Thursday night’s first round with the assumption that after watching the fun and excitement of 31 other picks, I’ll only hear Mr. Goodell announce to the crown.

“The Seattle Seahawks have traded the 32nd pick in the 2014 draft to ‘fillinthblank’. ‘fillintheblank’ is now on the clock.

I can then wait a few more minutes to find out what the team got in return and it’s off to bed.

chuck_easton,, you bring up a good point. I’d be a little worried if 49ers trade up and Draft Cook. Our LOB usually struggle a little bit with little guys with Elite Speed,, like TY Hilton…

Hopefully, they are still bad at evaluating talent like recent history has shown…

  9. HawkfaninMT says:

With the talk of other teams coming up a bit…

Who do you NOT want to see on the Niners, Cards, and Rams after Day 1 is complete?

    For me its:
    Rams: Clowney, Watkins, Evans
    Cards: Shazier
    Niners: OBJ

I will give exception to the in division questions, but thought questions on Detroit, Vikings, Miami, Packers, Steelers, Bills and Browns had nothing to do with the discussion and I don’t remember seeing things like this previously. These were straight up question on those specific team need and who Rob thought they would draft and had nothing to do with how it impacted Seattle’s place in the draft. I missed this live but though the read through was pretty odd with all the other team questions in there. So give the guy that thought it was lame his right to his opinion as a lot of the questions seemed out of place to me too.

  11. yankinta says:

HawkfaninMT, for me I don’t look at it that way. It’s more of the talented players than the fit. We know that this current 49ers team do not play there young guys therefore they don’t develop young guys well, Not sure about Rams and Cardinals on developing young players…

But there are some players that do not need developing a lot. Therefore those players could play right away and have a huge impact on the games. Those players are harder to miss if 49ers trade up, especially this year (very deep draft)… the same goes for Rams and Cardinals I guess but I’m not that worried about them. I’m not sold on their coaches…. Fisher has won nothing, and Bruce is old school/Out Dated/Overrated.

Although here’s a Fun Fact for you.
2013 NFC West is the BEST Division in the History of NFL.

This fact is based on the fact that this NFC West’s 4 Teams Combined Point Differential is 65 points more than the 2nd place 1996 AFC North. :)

Much more well said than my comment. It’s just my opinion, and you know what they say about those. The division questions are more understandable. Maybe there weren’t enough Hawks questions to skip over the other teams? I couldn’t be in on it, so I don’t really know. Put it this way, it’s lame IMO if questions about Miami, GB, etc. were posted instead of any about the Hawks.

  13. sluggo42 says:

This is why I rarely post anymore…. Who care what somebody asked, and who made somebody the boss of what questions can be asked… Rob has a lot of insight and knowledge about every teams needs. If somebody asks, obviously they want to know for whatever reason they have….

  14. SRVHawk says:

I’m certainly not the boss of what people can ask, but I personally would’ve liked to see more questions about the Hawks. Just an opinion. Nothing to get bent out of shape about. I’m not. Just sayin’.

  15. GeorgiaHawk says:

Rang has about as much knowledge of teams needs as the other 5000 mock draft experts out there imo.

What I would like to see is an interview and/or live chat with a real scout that has actually worked for NFL teams. Preferably a retired one that can tell us some cool draft room stories.

  16. SRVHawk says:

Georgia, Daniel Jeremiah on the NFL Network is a former NFL scout. He does mock drafts and the like. I personally like Mike Mayock the best. And I do think Rang is better than the majority of them out there.

  17. GeorgiaHawk says:

    Good point.

  18. GeorgiaHawk says:

And I agree with it being odd that so many questions were about other teams.

I don’t recall seeing that so much in previous chats.

Maybe it was the same poster just messing with the chat? Lol.
