Russell Wilson has a Super Bowl title. Now, he has a merchandising title.

According to Bloomberg News, Wilson has surpassed Peyton Manning in licensed NFL product sales.

It’s a significant move for a player just coming off his second year. Usurping Manning — a national pitchman — in sales is a strong indicator of just how much a Super Bowl can push your persona into the public.

Wilson jumped 18 spots on the list to move into the top spot. Third? Colin Kaepernick.

Awesome! Three Seahawks in the top twelve . It definitely is an indicator of Seahawks’ expending popularity.
    GO SEAHAWKS !

  2. Big presser @ VMAC at 11am..

  3. chuck_easton says:

And Seattle is the only organization with three players in the top 25.

Amazing what winning a SB can do for the popularity of a team, even if they do play in Southern Alaska.

Earl Thomas is so fast he got pulled over for speeding on the way to his presser. The cop let him off..
Another great day to be a Seahawks fan.
Get Big Sherm done, then on to the draft!

  5. The more noise I hear on Sherman Contract extension, the more nervous I get.

This FO usually works quietly and they get their best work done Quietly. I don’t want this to be another Jared Allen deal that never actually materialize.

I’d rather this be totally silent like Earl’s deal, Percy Harvin Deal and Cliff/Bennett deal from last year….

  6. jchawks08,, Earl Thomas is sooo fast that his birth certificate was a speeding ticket… :)

  7. He back-peddled out of the womb – born to be a DB

  8. Even in birth, cops knew better than to ever give Michael Bowie a (negative) ticket of any kind.

  9. Ray_Maines says:

Something must be wrong with that list. #7 isn’t a QB.

What does Marshawn Lynch represent besides Beacon Plumbing and Skittles? Is that all it takes to be the NFL’s seventh highest paid pitchman?

  10. Ray–Licensed NFL products, it says. Think jerseys.

  11. Ray_Maines says:

    never mind :)

    Top selling Jerseys http://www.nflshop.com/pages/Top_Selling_Jerseys

    #1 RW
    #5 Beastmode
    #6 Sherm

  13. Hey Richard Sherman look at the list you are the second highest defender in the entire league in jersey sales. Now that is respect and admiration from the fans. You don’t need to be the highest paid CB for respect you already got it.

  14. jawpeace says:

I was thinking the great potential for this. With RW popularity increasing to number one status, company advertisers have to take notice. Which I would guess should lead to more endorsement deals for RW. My long term hope is that with hopefully millions coming RW’s way that he would not feel the need to have a contract over 15 million a year. I don’t see RW as a I want to be the highest paid man in my spot type of guy. But I do recognize that he has not had his payday yet and with his first contract may want a BIG payday to be set for life.
