Another Seahawks visitor signs somewhere else.

In case you missed it, wide receiver Kenny Britt signed with the St. Louis Rams today. More on that here.

  1. Oh well…

  2. Whatever. We’re going to be just fine. GO SEAHAWKS!!

  3. Hawks want to get younger and cheaper wherever possible. And certainly at backup safety and WR.

  4. Singularitarian says:

Um… eas??? How much cheaper did you want to get at wide reciever than 1 year 1.4m? 550k gaurenteed? For a size reciever who can run a complete route tree

  5. Singularitarian says:

    Did I mention he’s 25 years old?

  6. banosser says:

agreed.. his athleticism & size outside for $2M would have been nice

  7. ospreyLV says:

Singularitarian, Britt, although he was the cream of a draft has become a major (?). Rice n Percy proved dangerous in Minny behind Favre. Lets hope.
    Excited about Baldwin n Kearse.

Tate was durable. Should Harvin hold UP all is good. We needed a kick returner to replace Deon.

  8. ospreyLV says:

Jared. Allen: Im the man!!!!! But Ware n Peppers r getting 10M a year to my 8M.
I took Peppers spot 4 less in Chicago n ill show u.
    Ha ha ha
    Jared Allen u r a real ___!!!

  9. ^ Guy above needs English classes.

  10. ^ what pope said.

Osprey I don’t even understand what you’re saying?

  11. ospreyLV says:

All u got? Sound like a gm that signed percy. But , hey , leys hear it NOBODY!

    Nobody blow hard. Ha ha

  12. ospreyLV says:

Britt was above average. Knee injury put him back.

  13. ospreyLV says:

    Tell u what floyd, u explain .
I will then put down the facts!

  14. ospreyLV says:

Jared allen offered 10M by Broncos contingent on the signing of Ware. Ware signs 30M 3yr. Peppers leaves BEARS joins Packers 10M.

Jared Allen to Bears 4 8M.

  15. I guess I’d rather have a young guy, under contract for 4 years, no baggage, not a head case. Britt is cheap, but I’m sure JS has his eyes on some bigger WRs in the draft

  16. HawkfaninMT says:

Someone that is really proud of always being right said the Hawks would be in in Britt…

Anyone think he admits being wrong?

  17. montanamike2 says:

Washington made some big moves this offseason, it should help Cousins once RGknee goes down. Younger and cheaper is a good plan to stick with, i wish we still had that 3rd rounder this year, but next year we make out good with all the comp picks. I’m still looking forward to seeing this kid from the CFL, he might be another under the radar pick up.

  18. Must be fun being a ‘skins fan and being one of the big winners in FA every year! They stink during the real season so at least they can win at something! Good job, Dan Snyder!

  19. ChrisHolmes says:

I thought this was a pretty telling stat that KLM posted in another thread:

“…the QB rating is when QBs throw to that receiver.

    DeSean Jackson: 124.4
    Percy Harvin: 118.8
    Robert Meechem: 117.6
    Doug Baldwin: 115.0
    Golden Tate: 108.6
    Jermaine Kearse: 101.4
    Sidney Rice: 89.5
    Ricardo Lockette: 70.8
    Jacoby Ford: 47.0
    Stephen Williams: 39.6
    Kenny Britt: 29.7″

Yeah, Britt. All 29.7 of him.

It’s real simple: some folks on this board have had a serious boner for Britt, but he’s just not that good. And he’s a headcase.

Good for the Rams for signing him. Should make it easier for us to win games against them.

  20. RDPoulsbo says:

Living in DC for several years, it was obnoxious just how many Redskin shows that air throughout the week. If you think the Seahawks have a lot of shows, during the season, double what Seattle does, then add several more that run throughout the offseason. I was particularly amused by a series dedicated solely to their history before the Superbowl era and even admitting how crappy those teams were back then. You’d guess they make more money producing these shows than from what they get from product on the field.

Seriously, Snyder just might be a business genius for his ability to get their fans to shell out their hard earned money, but he sure has no idea how to put a winning product on the field.

  21. ChrisHolmes says:

Redskins have to grow their QB first. They’re not going to compete until RGIII becomes a true passer. Right now, he’s a 1-read guy who is significantly limited:

  22. HawkFromDay1 says:

They still can’t take the trophy away right? Ok cool… then i’m fine.

  23. Southendzone says:

Uh oh, SF is reported to be going after DeSean. Hope he signs with the Redskins first.

  24. Singularitarian says:

lol. let the niners get the Desean headache for 10 mill per. it will wreck them cap wise. they would have the best receiving corps in football, with a strong armed (one read) qb. They still gotta figure out how to pay HIM. I’d love to see them drop Gore

  25. I am happy the 49ers are hanging onto Gore….. he is 30 years old I expect this is the year his play starts to drop off.
