Like 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in the post above, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning responded this morning to something Richard Sherman said.

Unlike Kaepernick, Manning responded with humor when asked about Sherman standing by his earlier comments that Manning’s passes are sometimes ducks.

“I believe it to be true, as well,” Manning said, drawing laughs from reporters. “They say he is a smart player, and I think that’s not a real reach with what he is saying there. I do throw ducks. I’ve thrown a lot of yards and touchdowns ducks. I am actually quite proud of it.”

But while Manning treated the comment likely, receiver Eric Decker stood up for his quarterback.

“Everyone has their own opinion,” he said. “I speak for myself. He’s been the best quarterback to catch from. I’ve played many years of football and I’ll take him at the top.”

  1. They keep trying to drum up some controversy.

  2. I agree. More about the media quacks trying to stir up bulletin board material. Hopefully our intrepid hunters will get to bag a few of these
    ducks.
