Backup fullback Spencer Ware was arrested Saturday morning and charged with DWI. He was booked into King County jail at 1:56 a.m. Ware was released at 4:23 a.m.

Ware is on injured reserve and not on the active roster, which means his arrest has no influence on this season.

King 5 was the first to report a Seahawks player had been arrested for DWI.

  1. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

  2. Ditto BobbyK. Probably just celebrating/drowning sorrows watching SEA making the NFC Championship game and him being on IR. With MikeRob and Coleman playing very few snaps but playing very well without him, might have been just too much? Wish him well in future, but he was expected to be cut in the 53-cutdown (and who wasn’t worried he was gonna end up making another team’s roster instead of making it back to our practice squad?)

  3. CDHawkFan says:

ComPete, just couldn’t let the 9ers lead next weeks match-up in DWI’s. I think we are behind in shootings though. (See A Smith).

  4. raymaines says:

That’s why God made Taxi Cabs young man.

DUI’s are SOOooo avoidable and thus, why they are so pitiful and painful. Very sad.

  5. sluggo42 says:

    Foolish, and totally preventable.

  6. Southendzone says:

No worries, not playing this year and Coleman already has outplayed him so we’re fine for next year too. Unlikely he’d even make the active roster in 2014

  7. MikeFromNewJersey says:

Non issue, dont even know why this made headlines.

  8. GeorgiaHawk says:

He did say when he got here that he wanted to be like Lynch.

  9. I’d be inclined to cut him for more than just this reason. (See his LSU attitude for more info.)

However, that said, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt until more info comes out. But his rope is awfully short.

  10. The team that had more rushing yards is 7-1 in the playoffs with the only loss the Chiefs.
