The Seattle Seahawks got back on track Sunday with a 23-0 win over the New York Giants in New Jersey.
It was the team’s 12th win of the season, which ties the 1984 team for the second most in franchise history. Only the 2005 NFC championship team (13-3) had more. The Seahawks also set a franchise record by finishing 6-2 on the road this season.
The win pushes Seattle one step closer to locking up the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC. With two home games left, the Seahawks can clinch the top spot with one more win. …
The Seahawks need some help from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to wrap things up today. They also need a win of their own, which I don’t think should be much of a problem (I picked a 35-17 win in the paper). By game time, the weather will be cool and windy, but dry.
