The Seahawks’ search for a new defensive coordinator to succeed Gus Bradley back in January was brief. Dan Quinn was snatched right back from Florida.
His hiring brought relief to many on the Seahawks defense, particularly the “Legion of Boom.” Quinn had a good relationship with Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas from when he was the defensive line coach in their rookie seasons.
I wrote about how Quinn quickly had the defense’s trust, as well as Pete Carroll’s, shortly after being hired. Being the coordinator for the league’s top defense 13 games into the season has only reinforced his aggressive approach.
