About WIlson being drafted by Rangers; I think they got a good pick up! I never seen him play baseball and I guess he’d be pretty good.

Refocus on Giants: NO different. 1-0 this week. We’re the same team. Everything is the same, everything is right in front of us. It’s the same routine, same process, working the kinks out.

After loss? It’s no different, the preparation doesn’t change. You correct mistakes, it doesn’t change guys’ mentality.

We’re seeing teams adjust, you can’t just play us head up, that’s playing to our strengths. I think teams are finding ways to get around the physicality.

With KJ being out. You lose some leadership, a great ball player, adept at understanding run concepts. Malcolm is a good player, he’s definitely a starting caliber linebacker in this league. KJ is a great leader, but I think Malcolm is as capable.

I evaluate by wins and losses, individual stats don’t mean much. We’ve been winning, so I’m pretty happy with it.

About Eli and NYG: They’ve been a good offense for a good time. They still have explosive receivers and TE. When Eli is on, he’s on, he’s as good as anybody.

Super Bowl at MetLife stadium. NO thought, we’ll go there and fight hard and try to get a win out of it, but that’s all we’re thinking about … you’d be doing disrespect to the NEw York Giants. That’s our 100 percent focus.

Cruz and Nicks, those are great players and Eli has a great rapport with them. They have great chemistry.

  1. We know the thought about playing in New Jersey has crossed their minds, they are just smart enough to deny it. Sherm is a smart and well calculated guy (unless it’s after a tough loss… then we’ve seen him say/tweet some things he may not if he’d have had more time to calculate it). I really like/respect the guy.

I’d rather have dinner with RS than anybody else I can think of. Heck, I wish he were my kid.

At least you would laugh all night.

  4. daveboling says:

I thought the same thing, Sherman really hit the answer about playing in MetLife perfectly … that looking ahead would be disrespectful to the Giants. Glad to hear him answer that way.

  5. GeorgiaHawk says:

Agree, you just can’t disrespect the Giants. They are capable of playing as good as any team.

  6. hawkdawg says:

This is the same dude who yells at the wide receivers he covers that they are weak, offer no challenge, are crazy to test him, etc.

Respect is a situational thing. He doesn’t pull that stuff with Fitz, even though he doesn’t respect the Cardinals any more than he does the Giants.
