  1. So much for the idea of Winfield coming in :( I would have prefered him over Cox. But I am not the one who makes that decision. If he can help in ST then that is great.

Does this mean we will probably see more of Shead on ST?

  2. Crap. JOhnson has been hurt all year it seems. Cox is a scumbag and Im not happy he’s on the team. I will be glad when he’s cut.

  3. found this funny –

Justin Tuck on Seahawks: “If you’re not ready to play, they will embarrass you… and then laugh at you about it.”

  4. tealskin says:

Impossible to defend what Cox is reputed to have done. If he is indeed a scumbag, and not just another flawed human, then it doesn’t speak well of Carroll/Schneider. Have no idea if he has some redeeming qualities or if this just hold-your-nose for a few weeks. Too bad.

  5. edstang45 says:

What has Cox done that he is considered a lowlife. TEAL

  6. edstang45 says:

    That is great stuff xcman

  7. Dukeshire says:

Winfield retired. Not sure where all the anticipation has come from.

  8. tealskin says:

edstang-I’m not up on all the details but he went to trial for rape, and was found not guilty. The girl said they had unconsensual sex and got pregnant. He claimed to not be the father but failed paternity test. Something about her being asleep or drugged, as well. This is just what sticks in my memory but others probably know better.

  9. edstang45 says:

Wow. Can’t abide anyone who has that evil inside of him. ..why I can’t stand to even look at rapelisberger. …pisses me of that he’s on the team

  10. SandpointHawk says:

@ Dukeshire…Winfield said he retired a couple weeks after Seattle cut him and he had no offers from contenders. He however has not filed the required “Retirement Papers” with the NFL office. There was many articles across the net two weeks ago about the Hawks in contract talks with Winfield apparently hinging on Browner’s suspension / return….

  11. chuck_easton says:

And those talks went nowhere because Winfield wasn’t willing to come back for what little money Seattle offered.

So, again, you can’t sign a player that is not wiling to be signed.

  12. mquinn73 says:

    STTBM – completely agree.

I can’t believe that this organisation signed someone like Perrish Cox. I’m all for second chances but this guy’s second chance should allow him to find employment flipping burgers, not playing professional football.
