The Seahawks have more turmoil, suddenly.
Mike Silver of NFL.com is reporting that Brandon Browner is facing another PED suspension.
You can read the story here.
Update: Silver was just on NFL Network and never used the phrase “PED” when talking about Browner’s supposed suspension. Browner’s agent also says Browner is not facing a suspension for PEDs.
Here is the updated story on NFL.com. It’s here.
Another update, 4:46. Now, this:
Seahawks CB Brandon Browner is facing a one-year suspension from NFL for violating substance-abuse policy, per NFL sources. He has appealed.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) November 26, 2013
Silver says center Max Unger and cornerback Richard Sherman recently talked to the team about issues like this.
On Twitter, Browner denies the story is true.
I'm not facing suspension for PEDs, it's sad that the NFL is reporting this...— Brandon Browner (@bbrowner27) November 25, 2013
Sherman also appears to have commented.
Love when ppl come to quick conclusions.... They show their true colors.... Then they realize it wasn't true...— Richard Sherman (@RSherman_25) November 26, 2013
Here’s NFL.com’s Jason LaConfora disputing his own colleague’s report:
Spoke to a source with knowledge of Brandon Browner's status who said he did not have another positive test for PEDs ...— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) November 26, 2013
Silver also reported that the Seahawks have signed Antoine Winfield following the suspension of Walter Thurmond.
NFL.com’s Ian Rapaport said on NFL Network, during an appearance with Silver, that is not a done deal yeat.
