The Seahawks sent a franchise record with their 13th consecutive home win.

The prior record was 12 (2004-06).

> The Seahawks improved to 19-6 (.760) in games played before the bye, tied for the best record in the NFL.
Seattle        19-6    .760
N.Y. Giants    19-6    .760
Dallas        18-7    .720
Minnesota    17-8    .680
San Francisco    17-8    .680

> With three INTs today, the Seahawks have 16 on the season and are tied for most in the NFL (Buffalo).
In the last three ballgames, the Seahawks have totaled 13 passes of 20-or-more yards and 20 runs of 10-or-more yards.

> With three total TDs (2 rush, 1, rec), it was the fourth time in Marshawn Lynch’s career he scored as many in a game and the second time in 2013 (vs. SF – 2-rush, 1-rec). With two rushing TDs, it was the eighth time of his career to rush for two scores in a game, third in 2013.

> Russell Wilson now has 21 career victories, tying Dan Marino for second-most in NFL history through the first two seasons. He trails Ben Roethlisberger (22).

Russell Wilson, Sea    21
Dan Marino, Mia    21
Joe Flacco, Bal        20

His 151.4 passer rating was a career high. His previous best was 136.3 vs. St. Louis (12/30/12).

> Percy Harvin returned to action for the first time this season and had a 17-yard reception, picking up a third-down conversion. He also subbed Jermaine Kearse (concussion) on kickoff returns and took his first return 58 yards, a season-long for Seattle, and set up a TD just before halftime.

Steven Hauschka scored 11 points vs. the Vikings and now has 104 for the season which leads the NFL.
1. Hauschka, Steven (SEA) 104
2. Crosby, Mason (GB) 96
3. Hartley, Garrett (NO) 90
3. Gostkowski, Stephen (NE) 90
5. Carpenter, Dan (BUF) 88

Hauschka also connected on his third field goal of 50-or-more yards on the season, a 50-yarder in the first quarter. It is the most 50-yard field goals Hauschka has had in one season. (2 in 2011)

Walter Thurmond – starting for Brandon Browner (groin) – intercepted his first-career pass and returned it 29 yards for a TD.
> Clinton
McDonald intercepted a pass, the first of his career, and returned it 3 yards to the Vikings 15 which set up a field goal. The pass was deflected by Chris Clemons.

With a sack today, Cliff Avril tied Clay Matthews with 35.5 sacks since 2010, tied for eighth in the NFC. He is tied for the team lead (Michael Bennett) with 6.5 sacks in 2013.

    – don’t know why it surprised me that it was his first INT. Not that he got many opportunities in the past due to injuries and guys earning a way in front of him.

This stat was great to read!! I would love to see this continue and see them cut down for the other teams. They give up too many due to penalty as well – this would have been even worse (for the Viks) if we didn’t have some stupid penalties

That was a fun game to watch. Playmakers make plays. We got some playmakers. Ain’t it fun to be a Hawks fan right now? Going to be a long two weeks. Can’t wait for Beastquake 2!

10-1 record going into they bye week, pretty sweet. Get healthy, and then come back ready for what might be the biggest game of the year…..until the playoffs of course.

Ten win seasons are hard to come by for those aware of Seahawk history, so 10 wins with 5 games to play is just crazy. A perfect season with another late bye week is the only way to get 10 wins quicker.

  4. First time in franchise history with 2 consecutive seasons of 10+ wins.

    Very happy at 10-1.

    Just a couple of points for conversation/continuous improvement;

    1) a lot of folks recently seem to give Avril more grief than Clem, but outside of the tipped pass in yesterday’s game, I haven’t seen much from Clem to think that he will not be the first to go next year to help sign others. While not tremendously different, I see Avril making more plays this year. Also, very glad its not just Clem and Irvin this year, imagine if that was all we had rushing the passer?

    2) was not super comfortable with the way the Vikes were able to move the ball for the first 25 minutes. Can someone explain why I give the benefit of the doubt only to the offense and why I sit on the edge of my seat (deep down don’t feel as comfortable) for the defense to make the stops?

The Seahawks set a franchise record with their 13th consecutive home win and did it by beating the team that ended the last streak in ’06. I’d sure like to see another five W’s added to the string before the end of this season.

  7. We have only three more home games this season. Two are on the road. If we win the home games, we would clinch HFA.
