The practice squad turnstile continued to revolve Tuesday when the Seahawks re-signed WR Bryan Walters and cut WR Arceto Clark.

Defensive tackle Michael Brooks, who was cut to make room for Percy Harvin’s activation, has cleared waivers.

Im sure Brooks will go back to the PS too. That guy did a nice job and earned his way back on this team.

Life must be tough on the fringe

  3. Kyle Williams was cut from SF today.

  4. I used to think that the Seahawks were crazy with the way they rotated players off the roster, on the PS, off the PS, back on the PS, back on the roster etc.

But really, its a very simple way to keep a larger number of players close to and available to the organization. Very smart.

No suprise there regarding Williams. He’s been on the bubble for a while now. And with Manningham back and Crabtree soon to be back, Williams was an obvious choice to be cut. If Brooks is cut, I hope he clears waivers.

It makes no sense to me why Walters is on the practice squad and Lockette is on the 53 man roster. Walters appears to have more experience.

  7. It only makes sense because of how the Seahawks use the bottom of the roster and the practice squad….. they cut and re-add guys continuously.
This gives the team a larger number of players who are ‘in the Seahawks system’ than they could have by having a static roster and practice squad.
