I’ll post the full audio when it’s up. A couple notes from Pete Carroll on 710 ESPN Seattle this morning.

> “We’ve already had our meetings to get this thing kicked int he right direction,” Carroll said.

> Carroll said Percy Harvin is day-to-day, and he doesn’t know if Harvin will play this week.

> Carroll reiterated that Tate made a great play and an immature decision afterward. Carroll said he could have screamed at Tate, but knows him so well he went to talk to him and tell him that’s not the way the Seahawks do things.

> Carroll says he talked to Marshawn Lynch on the plane last night and Russell Wilson made the wrong read twice on the goal line by keeping the ball. Carroll said they shouldn’t have given Wilson the option to keep. “Nobody was more frustrated than me,” Carroll said about Lynch getting only eight carries.

> No update on Sidney Rice, except Carroll said “he did have concussion issues,” though he wasn’t sure if he had a concussion, in addition to a knee problem,

> “I like where we are,” Carroll said. “It’s hard to play those guys. Great finish to the first half. We’ve got to get our ball right.”

  1. This will be an interesting week. After seeing so much evidence, you would think that the Seahawks would have to admit that they must make some personnel change (either from within or a FA or a trade) to improve the o-line.

I said during the in game chat that I think that the coaching staff ego is keeping them from making changes – lets see if that continues.

  2. Real interesting it was RW’s call on the goal line. I was pissed at Bevell as well

I’m having some flashbacks of Gore pounding us several years ago and us making adjustments to shut him down in the next game. I have full confidence that our D will continue to be the focal point of our team.

Love Irvin’s development. He seems to be maturing and a key factor in our success.

Every team out there has flaws and areas of concern. KC’s weak schedule, Denver hasn’t looked unbeatable of late. INDH is young and lost their best receiver. SF has looked better but not against great teams. New England certainly hasn’t dominated. New Orleans may be our biggest obstacle but we have them at home.

Bottom line – 7-1 at the halfway mark with 5 of our last 8 at home. Get healthy and we have as good a shot at anyone.

Wilson made the wrong read and they shouldn’t have given Wilson the option to keep the ball? So, sounds like Carroll takes issue with Bevell’s play call and then the execution. Doesn’t get much worse than that.

Can’t fix the play on the field until the staff is all on the same page, as I see it.

  4. SandpointHawk says:

    • The Seahawks are making a late push to trade for Jared Allen, reports Adam Schefter. Schefter’s ESPN colleague, Chris Mortensen says the Vikings are asking for a second-rounder but would settle for a conditional third.

  5. TallyHawk says:

Where is Jared Allen playing? Guard or tackle? We don’t need more pass rushers we need people who can stop them

  6. SandpointHawk says:

My thoughts also Tally, then I realized it’s the Vikings. When the Vikings hold a fire sale the first team they contact is the Seahawks…
