Good morning. Let’s get to it.

Here is our preview of the game.

Tom Brady, Drew Brees, no Gronk, 60 and sunny in Foxborough. Oh, and forget those quarterbacks. Give me some Jimmy Graham. Dude needs a nickname. The Goldsboro Gladiator?

The Patriots picked up their first loss of the season last week, when Brady had his 52-game passing touchdown streak snapped. The Saints are still rolling and allow just 14.6 points per game. Mills, your thoughts?

Into the playbook

This week, in lieu of highlights, here’s a playbook look from former NFL head coach Brian Billick at some things the Titans and Seahawks do.

Two writers from The Tennessean discuss today’s game:

Flashback video of the day

“The curtain rose on the 1986 season in a brand-new setting. The Seahawks’ modern headquarters was finally finished.”

Today in bacon

Smoked, Bacon-Wrapped, Pulled-Pork the Wright Sauce Way. If I miss the game, you will know I died a happy man surrounded by bacon-wrapped, pull-pork leftovers.

Favorite Seahawks moment:

None. Nada. You folks didn’t come through for me, so we have a blank space this week. Too bad.

If you have a favorite Seahawks moment you want to see in this space, email me:

Recipe of the day
With Tennessee in town, we’ll go with a Memphis Rub. While you make it, listen to Memphis Slim sing the blues about that dang Beer Drinkin’ Woman.

Now, that’s funny (at least to me):

At times, a Seahawks star or two whacks down some pre-practice fast food. That reminded me of this:

Sunday read

We’ll try to find a good, longer story for each Sunday. This one from SI’s Thomas Lake called, “The Ghost of Speedy Cannon,” is excellent.

Good stuff Todd, the reporters for Tennessee don’t seem very encouraged.
That Belushi bit was hilarious, especially the cig.

  2. Todd, especially for us displaced Seahawks fans (Florida), that weather attachment is very cool.

Great job so far, keep it up!

  3. Fave Seahawk moment was Matty holding up that NFC Championship trophy.

Marshawn Lynch will play today according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

  4. rramstad says:

Todd, that’s kismet, I just showed my son Little Chocolate Donuts yesterday. (He’s an athlete, 13 years old, that mostly lives on Ritz crackers.)

    Here’s another favorite

  5. Is there any way you can separate the seahawks part of the blog from the non-seahawks part? Love the blog but I have limited time and would rather not have to hunt through all the other stuff to find seahawks info. Of course if everyone else likes all the other info then I may be in the minority on that.

    Rams score first on Houston…

I’m going to be watching the 49er/AZ game with a curious eye.

Wondering if cristin gets some carries today?

How will the line do? I’m betting that Bowie continues to improve, and Sweezy will continue to suck. So will mcQ… I wish Baily would get better, but maybe we are lucky to just get one in Bowie…

    War hawks

  7. Are the Texans really this bad?

  8. Todd Dybas says:

    Hey, Mike.

I’ve considered doing a separate morning links, like we do each week, on Sundays. Maybe I’ll keep this, with some Seahawks stuff in the there, and put the content specific to that game in a separate post. The issue for me is the same as it is for you: time. Especially during weeks when I have to travel. But, we’ll try to figure out an optimal way. Thanks for throwing out a thought.
