Hawks add Tacoma’s Edwards, release DT Michael Brooks

The Seahawks added wide receiver Nicholas Edwards to the practice squad on Thursday and released defensive tackle Michael Brooks.

Edwards played at Foss High before playing for Eastern Washington.

He caught 215 passes for 2,634 yards and 33 touchdowns at Eastern Washington. His best season came in 2011, when as a junior he caught a school-record 95 passes for 1,250 yards. His 19 touchdowns that season led the FCS.

Brooks was undrafted out of East Carolina who was released last week, re-signed, then released again.
