Didn’t get to ask Eric if there will be a sweater vest sale this week! He won’t be needing those in SD.

  2. GeorgiaHawk says:

Eric will probably keep some for road trips.

  3. GeorgiaHawk says:

Personality wise I liked Eric much better then Sandos.

  4. I’ll miss Eric. But I’m happy to see him moving up. Good luck, Eric!

  5. HawkFromDay1 says:

Oh geez Georgia! We don’t speak negatively about Sando!

No offense to Eric – always liked his stuff – but Sando provided very interesting statistical analyses. For nerds like me, that was beautiful.

Also, Sando and Brock Huard’s podcasts were phenomenal. They were like psychic readings prior to the games – spot on every time.

  6. GeorgiaHawk says:

Sandos is a robot, much like Wilson is, but I would rather hang out with Moffitt or M Rob or whoever is buying the drinks. Lol.

  7. Dukeshire says:

Eric has been so much more accessible than Sando ever was. Granted, Sando’s content was phenomenal, no question. It’s just their styles are different. Eric gave us access to players through interviews and live chats that was extraordinary.

And personality-wise, which is what Georgia was eluding to, Sando could be a bit snarky, IMO. Eric has always been super chill and down to earth.

  8. GeorgiaHawk says:

    Super chill Eric.

    Snarky Sandos.

Couldn’t have said it better Duke, personality wise.

  9. doubledink says:

It looks like ESPN has made Sando an Insider read only. He no longer writes for the NFC West blog. Four team specific lackeys handle that now.

  10. doubledink says:

The four of them produce about the same amount of content too.

  11. Dukeshire–I agree. Gonna miss Eric running this blog, though I was, like most of you, never able to meet him. Just like Moffitt…

  12. banosser says:

Just yet another reason to hate epsn..

  13. doubledink says:

I’ve been watching the Harbaugh/Carrol dynamic for a bit and I’m thinking it is not all that some would have us believe. The media makes a living out of making mountains out of molehills and it certainly feeds red meat to the fans of both teams, but I’m beginning to see it as a couple of very competitive coaches who have a health respect for the other but who would be just as happy if all of the flap about their personal spat/history went away. Sure some guys like Sherman use the unsportsmanlike angle to motivate themselves, but I don’t think these coaches do, anymore at least. Two years ago I think it was true. Not now. They are passed that now. Their comments and such seem to lack the ire. Competitive, yes. Malice, no.

Are any of you seeing that?

  14. Dukeshire says:

STTBM – Huh? Some of us have met him. Eric was always willing to meet us from the blog.

  15. MikeFromNewJersey says:

It looks like okung has the same toe injury that Pierre Garcon had last year. He missed 6 games. Hopefully an Olineman can come back sooner than a WR. Those road games in Texas and Indy will be tough with him.

@MIke — Is that what Garcon had? 6 weeks would be a long time. He’s such a key guy for us.

  17. Man I have nothing but love for Eric & Sando, it’s made TNT my fav paper & I live by the airport. Don’t know Dybas but he’s got big shoes to fill. #12thMan

  18. Duke–just meant I never met him or moffitt, and I would have liked to..

  19. You as in most bloggers not u specifically: sorry unclear.

  20. Clinton McDonald is making a prorated 630 K for the person that asked.
