The only real news for the Seattle Seahawks is offensive lineman John Moffitt will be on the active roster for today’s game, the first time in three games.
Moffitt had been a healthy scratch for the last two games, as rookie J.R. Sweezy reclaimed the starting right guard job. But with all of the exotic blitzes Washington likes to dial up, the Seahawks might have to go with Moffitt at right guard if Sweezy struggles in pass protection.
Washington left guard Kory Lichtensteiger (ankle) was questionable heading into today’s game but will play.
Here’s the full list.
Seattle inactives
WR Deon Butler
SS Winston Guy
CB DeShawn Shead
LB Allen Bradford
OG Rishaw Johnson
OT Mike Person
DT Jaye Howard
Washington
QB Rex Grossman
WR Brandon Banks
WR Dezmon Briscoe
LB Roddrick Muckelroy
LB Vic So’oto
OT Tom Compton
OG Adam Gettis
Glad to see Moffitt available. The only thing that scares me about this game is the field. I do hope that the smacker is not too rusty.

Me too, and I’m not terribly surprised considering how Wash relies on interior blitzes. Sweezey will start I’d imagine, but if he struggles like last week, Mofitt is up.

Let’s hope that whatever Moffitt did that landed him in the doghouse has been resolved and he is on point and focused. If Sweezy plays as bad as last week, we will need Moffitt to step in and slow down the pass rush. Guys, open huge holes for Lynch and the pass rush will take care of it’s self. Go SEAHAWKS!!!

Moffitt must have given up the Apple infatuation!

Next Sunday morning RW75 will be the only rookie qb left and will beat the #1 seed in the NFC on the east coast! The Seahawks will have arrived!

Anquan boldin, MVP of this game imo.

I think Moffitt’s problem is work ethic. At least that’s what comes through on the Real Rob Report. Here seems to bee happy just being there than to improve. I might be reading to much into it, but that’s just my impression.

Yeah he acts like a big kid who doesn’t take things seriously. The opposite of RW75.

Moffinsweezy, Coming to a theater near you. Lol.

PC just said “We’re not going to change for them. That’s not how we do things. We’re gonna run our offense.” I love it!

Again, the NFL ought to be ashamed by how poorly this game has been officiated. Hey Rodg., this is a playoff game for christ’s sake.

Only one superstition perhaps: Seems like every game I attend in person is a win, going back to the Oakland Raider rivalry games. You all should sponsor my away game attendance this post-season, hehe. Sure wish we had some homegame possibility still, I could probably afford to make it to one of those. Considering how excellent we perform at home, should help them fight harder next year for some homefield advantage. We don’t just have loud fans, we have smart fans… truly know WHEN to get loud.
Any word on how many tickets DangeRuss bought for his Richmond, VA contingency?

TremR: I have to say, I’ve never attended a losing game either. If we both go to the rest PhD these games, the Super bowl is assured.
