The Seahawks have concluded their final local work at the VMAC and are heading to the airport and Washington, D.C., for their Sunday playoff opener against the Redskins.
After the workout, coach Pete Carroll said the team was about as healthy as possible. At cornerback, Jeremy Lane (sore knee) practiced and Carroll seemed encouraged by what he’s seen of Brandon Browner.
“We’re about as healthy as we can get,” he said. “The two guys on the list running back Marshawn Lynch and cornerback Lane) are both probable, and everybody else is going. We’ve got some issues to figure out who is up and down, but we’re very, very fortunate. You’re going to look at the same 11 on both sides who started the season, so we’re very fortunate.”
Carroll said he can’t recall having a team this healthy at the end of a regular season.
More on Browner: ) “He’s knocking off the rust and trying to get back. This late in the season, the tempo of practice isn’t as high as it is earlier in the year, so he doesn’t get as much work. We’ve got to bring him on slowly. We’ll be ready in case he gets tired or something. He seems to be in great shape. He ran the whole time that he was off. Everything looks fine; we’ve just got to watch him.”
Best possible scenario….Here’s hoping BB “has it” on Sunday…

I was just about to post that lol.Not being negative or anything, but I wouldn’t mind if he gets the job.I for one wouldn’t miss him.

Yeah , not much to miss about a guy who’s helped put together one of the best units in the league over the last couple years.

I’d say the talent gotten by Mr. Happy and the Duke Boy has more to do with Gus being the sole reason the defense is so great than soley on his coaching abilities.

I’m not so worried since PC is such a defensive mind. I wonder who they’d bring in. Opinions?

Rare that all we have to worry about is who’s going to be on the healthy scratch list.

Agreed.

Eagles could possibly reverse course and go back to the Ryan days and hire a genius DC to be their HC…Bradley has the charisma to be a HC for sure. Im not sure he’s ready though. I think he’s a long shot.
And Bevell?! Maybe next year. The guy has the charisma of Tapioca pudding. Worse than Cam Cameron, and just as weird. Not gonna get an interview this year, IMO. Not HC material either, IMO; BUT then again, I thought he sucked and for the last five weeks he’s done a fabulous job as OC. So what the hell do I know?! Yep, not much. Which is why I dont work for the Hawks…
