As always, Bucky Brooks of The NFL Network does a nice job using the All-22 film to break down the Seattle Seahawks for the team’s upcoming game against San Francisco.

Brooks takes a closer look at how Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch have been so effective running the zone read option, and also points to Seattle’s ability to create chunk plays in the passing game with Sidney Rice and Golden Tate.

Brooks: For all of the attention Wilson and others have received for sparking the Seahawks’ offense, Marshawn Lynch is the key to the unit’s success. The seventh-year pro sets the tone for the offense with his exceptional running skills between the tackles. Lynch is a hard-nosed, physical runner with outstanding vision, instincts and cutback skills. He excels at reading blockers at the point of attack and has a knack for finding creases in the middle of the defense. Most importantly, Lynch is a bruising finisher who blows through defenders at the end of runs.”

Matt Bowen of the National Football Post also has a nice breakdown using All-22 film of how Seattle’s uses the pick route to spring an explosive play, the rail route down the sideline that Robert Turbin dropped in the first game against San Francisco.
