TORONTO — For a second straight week, the Seattle Seahawks made quick work of their opponent, this one a 50-17 manhandling of the Buffalo Bills in the team’s first game played in Toronto.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson scored three rushing touchdowns and threw for another one in the first half, a 4-yard toss to tight end Zach Miller, becoming the first player to do that in NFL history, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Wilson finished 14 of 22 for 204 yards, and also rushed nine times for 92 yards.

In his first game against his former team, Marshawn Lynched topped 100 yards for the eighth time this season, finishing with 113 yards on 10 carries, including a 13-yard touchdown run.

Check out the stats here.

With the win, the Seahawks improved to 9-5 on the season, assuring Pete Carroll of his first winning season in three years as Seattle’s head coach.

The Seahawks also put together the team’s first, three-game winning streak since December 2011. Seattle also scored at least 50 points in consecutive games for the first time in franchise history.

The Seahawks are currently the No. 5 seed in the NFC. Washington (8-6) is the NFC East division leader by virtue of that team’s win over Cleveland. Chicago (8-6), Dallas (8-6) and N.Y. Giants (8-6) remain in the hunt for a wild card spot.

This feels so good! Bring on the 49ers! We’re peaking at the right time, just like the NY Giants last year. Go Seahawks!

  2. SandpointHawk says:

What a glorious time to be a Seahawk’s fan. I don’t want to ever wake up….

  3. SandpointHawk says:

You know it may just be me, but I think Russel Wilson might have a future in the NFL…

  4. Way to go hawks …. and don’t let the refs beat you this time.

  5. DisplacedSeahawkFan says:

It feels good, but I’m still utterly unimpressed with our defense. We only had 2 sacks, and gave up a 3rd 20. Moreover, we allowed another rusher–i.e., C.J. Spiller, to rush for over 100 yards on us. Our offense is coming along, but our defense is regressing.

  6. With these large leads they should be playing Flynn – keeps Wilson from getting injured and gives Flynn playing time. Strange

  7. Dukeshire says:

Spiller is one of the most dynamic young runner in the league. No shame in that. Moreover, this defense isn’t terribly healthy in the secondary nor up front. Yet the continue to hold team to well below 20 points a game. Room for improvement? Plenty. But let’s not get too carried away.

  8. NYHawkFan says:

50-17 and you’re complaining about the defense? Wow! What will to take to make you happy? Did it need to be 50-7? 50-0?

The Midnight Sun Sea Hawker booster club (est. 1978) meets on game day at the Peanut Farm in Anchorage. If you are visiting Anchorage next weekend please stop by and join us for the SF game.

It’s been a glorious last three weeks and I expect it will continue.

    GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!!

  10. bbnate420 says:

How did Irvin not get at least a half a sack? Retarded complaint, I know. I hope it’s the best I have the rest of the year. Can’t wait for next Sunday night!

  11. I’d just like to take a moment to recognize the outstanding job the entire personnel department has done for this team since PC arrived.

Now back to your regular weekly love-fest. :)

  12. LeePHilI says:

I wonder if the read option will work?

  13. trout_hound says:

I knew it would be a beat down. That was fun to watch, even the fake punt. But how did Irvin not score that touchdown? All the Bill’s guy grabbed was his towel. Bring on the whiners.

    Agree 1,000%

  15. Sure wish SF had lost last night, it would have made next sundays game even more exciting…. If we are a playoff team, beating the last 2 teams should have been expected, perhaps not by the margin, but wins. This could still get very, very interesting going forward….
