The most significant news out of Pete Carroll’s press conference this afternoon is receiver Sidney Rice will not practice because of a foot issue.

Carroll said that Rice has had an issue with his toe all season, and will wear a boot this week to help the injury heal.

Carroll did say there’s a chance that Rice is not available for Sunday’s game. And if that’s the case, Charly Martin would step in as the team’s flanker, although the rotation would change depend on the situation.

Carroll also said the team will wear the Wolf Grey jerseys for the first time this season.

John Moffitt and J.R. Sweezy will continue to split time at right guard. And Carroll said that Leroy Hill will return to practice this week, but will have to compete for his job with Malcolm Smith, who played well in his absence.

Cornerback Marcus Trufant (hamstring) is not expected to practice for a third straight week.

  1. That WR depth chart is pretty scary after the top 3.

  2. shoehawks says:

Yeah, but that’s what we thought about the linebackers and the cornerbacks, too…and the backups there have stepped up so far. Give Charly a chance to show what he’s got.

  3. EastCoastFan51 says:

We NEED Rice in the game…the offense will lose a big time weapon….until Tate proves he’s consistent any injury to Rice is troublesome.

  4. abqhwkfn says:

What more must Tate do to prove his consistency? I dont believe he will be as effective with out Rice in the game but that can be said of any team in the same situation.

  5. abqhwkfn says:

Doug Baldwin, I think its time for you to make a significant impact…

  6. dirtbiker_joey says:

What’s everyone worried about? We’ve got Anthony McCoy!

  7. Ewalters7354 says:

As soon as they cut Braylon we hear this smh…Charly Martin at flanker? Oh boy that’s not pretty…

  8. abqhwkfn says:

Evan Moore, I think its time for you to earn your keep…

  9. mindnbrad says:

…We’ve got McCoy, AND we’ll be in Wolf Grey!

  10. Ewalters7354 says:

“Evan Moore, I think its time for you to earn your keep…”

I think even in my wildest dreams that won’t happen.

  11. Why not Deon Butler?

  12. hawkfaninoklahoma says:

he guys talked to matt heuett over at seahawksaddicts he would love some help over there and quite a few of you would be welcome to write for the blog. it’s a site where if georgia and i split duties we could post morning links before most are up and about. give an opportunity to keep the group together and get some of you with great writing skills a chance to post.

  13. OregonHawk says:

  16. Charley Martin, meh. Rice rocks and he has proven it this season.

Tate has stepped up this year and as far as I’m concerned is doing a great job.

Doug? Ready to step up dude?

DEON!!!! Where is my man Deon?

  17. GeorgiaHawk says:

Lol- I would do anything to keep Seahawk talk alive! Just give me directions and I will make it happen. Song of the week, no problem. Song of the day, no problem. Just tell me what you need.

Anything to help keep getting away from the no fun blog! that was my focus when I came on to this blog, and that will continue to be my focus.

Funny stuff in the end of your song, hilarious. Yes i still go to SA from now and then to read their articles, but like STTBM said it’s pretty much just a quick read and like 3 or so people that post once in a while. A mass exodus would rejuvinate the site but it would take the bloggers to keep it alive.

  20. SeahawkMarsh says:

Back when this blog was going through its big change before Eric got here, seahawkaddicts was really good, lots of posters there, many the same as who are here. I see that happening again once this blog goes to the dark side. Lets make that happen!
