Seahawks inactives: Bryant in, Hill out

Red Bryant must have been pretty convincing in talking with Pete Carroll this morning. Even though Bryant did not practice this week because of plantar fasciitis, he is on the active roster and will start today.

Linebacker Leroy Hill had a different result, however, and is on the inactive list with a ankle issue, which means Malcolm Smith likely will start at outside linebacker.

As expected, Marcus Trufant (hamstring) is not active today, so Walter Thurmond will be Seattle’s nickel cornerback in passing situations.

For Chicago, receiver Devin Hester (concussion) and Chris Spencer (knee) are on the inactive list.

WR Jermaine Kearse
WR Charly Martin
DB Marcus Trufant
LB Leroy Hill
OL J.R. Sweezy
OL Mike Person
DT Jaye Howard

Josh McCown
Alshon Jeffrey
Devin Hester
D.J. Moore
Chris Spencer
Matt Toeaina

    No Kearse? We are doomed!

  2. Ha! I was kinda hoping to see the guy get a couple passes his way, but with Carrol and company running a 1960’s offense, there arent enough passes for Rice and Tate, let alone Miller or Baldwin or Kearse…

I’m actually glad Hill is out. Nothing against him, but this team needs to assess what they have behind him (Morgan, Smith) before the end of the season. That it, is Will a position of immediate need or a position of best player available as the course of the draft develops.

All I want is a win. Is it to much to ask? Come on HAWKS!!!

I really don’t think Trufant is that hurt, but it’s a good excuse to see a preview of Thurmond.

  6. Skavage says:

As a couple of you have mentioned, the result of Hill and Trufant being out will give us an opportunity to evaluate what we have for the future. Do we need another CB that can play the slot receivers? Do we need another OLB that can play the run, recognize the screen, cover the TE, and fill the gap, and occasionaly rush the QB?

Big questions for next year and today will go a long ways toward telling us what we have.

I bet the Heater wishes he was with us for this game and not playing for the Aint’s.
