Eric, as bummed as I am the chat is down, I have to say way to be decisive and take a strong stance on the idiocy. Sad, but necessary. Keep up the good work, and dont worry if you need to ban the trolls, do it!
Really this is the last place on this site that I’d expect civility problems, especially given how hostile the people are who spend their days attacking each other over each letter to the editor.
The game may get nasty, but we’re all supposed to be on the same side as fans here.
Eric and Dave, thanks for hosting these chats and looking for a way to put a lid on the problems.
As for the game, glad Seattle was able to close that out without incident, but it was definitely a messy affair.
Great defense and another solid effort from Lynch. RW may not have done anything spectacular, but I think he demonstrated good decision making taking just what the defense gave them. Awesome win.
Our D still looks questionable in stopping long drives late in games, luckily however they are STUDS in the redzone, so is sort of evens out. Panthers offense was horrid today though, but still, a lot of credit to the 11 guys busting their asses, Wagner and Bruce Irvin bossed it all night long!
Eric or Dave, it must not be possible or I think it would’ve been done already, but the obvious fix is to somehow make people have to sign in with their TNT user names to take part in the chat. I don’t usually take part in the chats much, but they seem like they bring out the geniuses more than a Seahawks loss does.
I’m not sure who it is on the blog, but I’m certain it’s just 1 person causing all the trouble. This has never been a problem in the past until these last couple games. It just takes 1 person to change their name in chat a bunch to ruin it for everyone.
RD, I’m not doubting that it could be one person. I thought you were saying that you knew who it was. I would bet it is a couple of people. Some might not even post here. Just want to cause havoc.
People like BobbyK need to come up with an alternative username for the chats and then post it on one of the threads a few days before. That would at least stop people that didn’t really pay attention during the week from stealing his username.
Those causing trouble are probably Green Bay fans. Speaking of…who is Rodgers going to blame this week?
Get out of your snowglobe. Our underneath pass coverage is probably our weakest link. They are not perfect after stopping one teams third down attempts. Much improved. Dominant. But far from elite. With New England and San Fran in the next 2 games, we will see where we are at the end of October.
Drew Breeze has had 81 passes batted down at the line of scrimmage since 2007. Most in the NFL. Wilson will never have that many as long as he runs for his life out of the pocket.
Both of those INT’s were on Wilson. Both were behind the rcvrs. He made some good reaads. Missed some open rcvrs. Still completed 75% of his passes. Overall pretty good minus the picks.
We welcome comments. Please keep them civil, short and to the point. ALL CAPS, spam, obscene, profane, abusive and off topic comments will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be blocked. Thanks for taking part and abiding by these simple rules.
Wilson – please run full speed towards the sticks on a called run play

Because Lynch has cojones the size of watermelons!

No games on the road are gimmes — great win for our guys. 3-2 does not suck.

Let me just say, I think this win is in large part thanks to Brandon Browner. He deserves some big props.
× Flag comment
Yeah…unfortunately, it looks like they’re going to have to be more heavy handed with bans moving forward because of ONE person.
That said, what a great end to the game and a great call to plan the safety.
× Flag comment
Yeah, Lynch manned up… just as he does game in and game out.

I think our offense looked better today, penalties were the killer. One terrible mistake by RW, other than that, 19-25 for 221.
Radeon- aren’t you happy it wasn’t the blowout loss you were worried about?

Agree ME- I think Browner is the player of the game. Not just the turnover, he also stopped that receiver at the one.
Our D has no weak links right now.

I’ll second that, pdway. Wilson showed definite improvement.
Irving is turning into a playmaker… deserving of the No. 1 draft spot me thinks.
× Flag comment
Yes, good win. And despite the 2 INTs, I think RW is looking better. He is a rookie after all. He certainly looked better than the 6’5″ Cam Newton.

I am sure there are a few people and not just one.
Too many people out there that can’t handle others opinions
For example -
If I say that I thought Wilson could have been better today – there are some that will totally freak out!!
Or if I call out Pete for some Crap that he spreads or play calls or something then I am not a fan.
Used to be you express a different opinion and be challenged but not demeaned
