Seattle head coach Pete Carroll said veteran cornerback Marcus Trufant would be a game-time decision because of a nagging back issue.

Trufant proved healthy enough during pre-game workouts that he could contribute, and is active for today’s game against Carolina.

Offensive lineman John Moffitt (knee) and defensive tackle Jaye Howard (foot) are inactive, and will miss a second straight week.

For Carolina, linebacker Jon Beason (knee) and cornerback Chris Gamble (shoulder) are inactive today. Rookie Luke Kuechly will move to middle linebacker for Beason, and Thomas Davis will play outside linebacker for Kuechly.

Captain Munnerlyn will start at cornerback for Gamble.

Here’s the full list.

SS Winston Guy
CB Danny Gorrer

OL John Moffitt
DT Jaye Howard
DE Greg Scruggs

Carolina

  1. Could be a very pivitol game for both the Panthers AND the Hawks…. Silly, perhaps, but we’re in the bottom of our division, with tiebreaks all against us…. anyone also note that SF is finally getting only their 2nd home game of the season, vs Buffalo? On a larger scale, we’ve been generally healthy and we’re still in a fight for our lives in only the fifth week of the season…. C’mon Wilson! Get on the train here… We need you badly…..

  2. With Charly out, bring back my man Deon Butler. The guy has spunk and a non-stop motor…we need that!

  3. Dukeshire says:

Captain Munnerlyn. Best name in the NFL. lol

  4. Watching Luke Kuechly at MLB vs Bobby Wagner at MLB will be an added treat today.

  5. Wagner has certainly been better than I expected, not perfect, but he’s been doing pretty well.

  6. I feel that Kuechly has answered the pre-draft questions – at least from this blog – But I like what we have in Wagner.

I think Wagner is continuing to get better – and he will be a solid MLB for us for a number of years

anyone have a stream for watching the game?

  8. mquinn73 says:

Penalties are killing us AGAIN…. it’s a terrible reflection upon Carroll and his coaching staff. Same thing, week after week…

  9. Kuechly was in fact on Seattle’s radar, as was the Strong Safety TB got, Barron. Id rather have Irvin than Barron, and Wagner is a fine player so it worked out well for us.

  10. mojjonation says:

I only have one glaring question…who is Rodgers going to blame for losing to the Colts.
