Four folks lead the Seahawks Insider pick ‘em contest after three weeks of the regular season.

12thmanfaithful, JazBadAzz, mdboucher and wabubba67 all picked 24 correct after three weeks.

JazBadAzz rose up the ranks by picking an impressive 14 correct to lead Week 3.

After a solid Week 2, I struggled once again with only seven correct in Week 3, falling way down in the pack with 19 correct so far this season.

Check out the results or come join us here. And get your Thursday pick in quickly, with the Browns-Ravens game set to start in less than an hour.

    Wooooohoooooo!

  2. Palerydr says:

My screen says I’m a member of the group Eric. I have 34 correct as well it’s bad enough the majority of my comments are ignored but no love here either?

Pale haz sad face now that I’m sure I put the jinx on myself for saying anything.

  3. bird_spit says:

Palerydr – you sound like a GB packer after Seattle handed you your ass back after taking it all game. Buck up..and get over yourself.

  4. Palerydr says:

    Hey that’s great advice thx

  5. sluggo42 says:

    lol, buck up…

  6. Wow you guys sure do comment a lot! I just now got caught up from the game.

Several threads back there was a link to a u tube vid of Tate-Gate that showed it from the qbs view but close up and slo mo. That was amazing! I don’t understand why Sando did not use that one. I wish it was on all the national shows! I feel SO!!! much better knowing that Tate had the ball first and the call was actually correct after all! We don’t ever have to feel guilty for that win. It would be nice though if the rest of the world saw that view!

With regard to the penalty problem: I’d rather have an agressive team with penalties than a passive team that plays cautiously. It worked for the Raiders back in the day against the polite Seahawks. But pre snap penalties are a totally different thing. I think more coaching on that will do the trick with time.

I am very pleased at the overall steady progress of this program under current management. How many of you thought we would be 2 and 1 at this point in the schedule? (especially after losing to AZ)

  7. RDPoulsbo says:

If anything I’m consistent. 10s 3 weeks in a row.

  8. I show the four tied for first being Palerydr5, JazBadAzz, mdboucher and plan4ff. I think now that we are in Week 4 it isn’t dropping the worst score the same, so the leaders are skewed from when Eric wrote the post.

  9. Dukeshire says:

    Palerydr – Apparently when they’re not ignored, they’re insulted…

  10. wabubba67 says:

Working all day and night….didn’t get my pick in time for tonight’s game. Unlike Paleryder, I’ll buck up and take responsibility. :-)

  11. PostalBob says:

    Hey Eric:

I too have 24 correct after three weeks. Had a really bad week 3, will make it up on week 4!

    Go Hawks!

  12. bbnate420 says:

    I missed tonight’s pick.

I like your posts, Palerydr! Even if no one else does. You make a lot of good points. Don’t always look for acceptance in others’ posts. Just because they don’t write it doesn’t mean other people don’t enjoy your posts. :-)

  13. bbnate420 says:

Then national media doesn’t care if Tate caught it or if it was close. They are at least biased towards controversy or sensationalism. That’s what gets people to pay attention/

  14. IdahoHawk says:

I’ve whatched the play form every angle. The one thing nobody is bringing up is Jennings foot goes out of bounds when he come down (Isn’t that a issue?).

  15. sluggo42 says:

Idaho – Very interesting “Q”. That is the first I’ve heard of that. But, ou will die with that thought as nobody but us will ever consider it…

    So, buck up!

  16. Dukeshire says:

Jennings was already down, and he and Tate were fighting for the ball, when he kicked his foot out of bounds. At that point there shouldn’t have made a difference.

  17. Yeah, Jennings got his feet in bounds. But Tate got his feet down first.

What’s clear to me, after looking at a number of videos and pics, is that there is a very strong argument for simultaneous possession (and not too different from other simultaneous possession calls like the Miles Austin/Antonio Cromartie one). If the regular refs had made the call, if it wasn’t on MNF, if it wasn’t the deciding call in the game, if it didn’t hurt a popular franchise like the Packers, it wouldn’t have been such a controversy. It certainly wasn’t the worst call in history, as some are portraying it.

  18. Tate weaselled his way to that alleged TD. Were it not for the senile ref (a.k.a Replacement ref No. 26 – Lance Easley), that would have been called an INT. Having said that, GB went prevent D and that prevented them from winning.
