Hey, this has pretty much become a joke… I’m out of here… I’m also going to copy/paste this in the comments below so you know that “bobbyk” didn’t really post most of this crap.
Negatives. Again the O-line, Okung struggled all game and then decided his ankles would start hurting to save him. Wide Receivers dropped way to many must make catches.
D started slowly but stepped up in the 2nd half
Bevels play calling was hopeless and Bradley got caught cold when Skelton went out
back to earth is right. probably too much talk about wilson’s ‘glow’ and all – he’s still a rookie QB starting his very first real nfl game. I thought he handled himself alright for the most part. Kept the mistakes down, scrambled when he had to. He faced a ton of blitzes as we knew he would, and he basically played it safe and smart most of the time.
but our offense has no explosion. rice looked good, but teams will put their #1 CB on him, and will limit his looks. Baldwin was a zero, Miller did nothing, and Edwards isn’t good enough. He has to come down with that ball at the end, period.
all those chances at the end zone and no TD’s – this one hurts. opportunity missed.
I just knew the Hawks would win. I am shocked. The defense really struggled today. The Cards had two scrubs at tackle but the Hawks still could not get good pressure at the QB. Kolb looked like Manning in his prime on that one drive of his.
still can’t believe it was Kolb coming in cold off the bench that won this game. our D had really started to dominate things in the 2nd half – paradoxically, their back-up QB coming in was exactly the lift that AZ needed. who knew. . .
This one’s on the coaches. They decided that once Kolb came in, they would go back to playing conservative defense…like they did in the first half. Putting pressure on the quarterback got them in position to win the game. Backing off lost it for them. I hope that is a lesson learned.
Wow, cards had to beat the hawks and the bummbling 12th man refs…..how many more shots at the endzone did the hawks need?? these refs are gonna decide some games they shouldn’t.
both pass interrerence calls at end were BOGUS, not even close to penalties. these calls will aid the real refs case against nfl. just can’t have junior high officiating at this level.
Well, those “bumbling refs” were the same ones that kept the only Skelton drive going that led to a touchdown on a “bogus” pass interference call. The difference is your bogus call didnt lead to points. Our bogus call did so I guess using your theory. The Hawks should have won.
I thought Wilson showed real poise at the end when the pressure was turned up. Bandwagon hawk fans, you are excused to jump off now. Us real fans will ride with the Hawks until the end, and Wilson will only improve and will surely pay some dividends later on. Baldwin and Edwards both had a chance to be the hero and win the game. The ball was right there. The loss isn’t really on RW, I don’t think. He stepped up when the game was on the line, our WR talent is very suspect. The D was starting to play super stingy until Skelton went out and Kolb came in. Lack of pressure and blitzes made Kolb look better than he is, and all he really did was start throwing to Fitz, which he’s supposed to do.

Pretty unimpressive on Wilson’s part.

At the half.
Arizona has a good pass rush… we don’t.

I wanted Flynn all along.

Flyingdutchman: you think Flynn would look any better with that pass blocking?

That game may bring most Hawk fans back to reality. I was hoping for the best, but the play of the offense was about what I though it would be.
