Greetings from Arrowhead Stadium.

Well, it appears that there might be more to that tired arm issue that caused Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Flynn to miss the last two practices heading into today’s game against Kansas City.

Although we were led to believe that Flynn would be okay to play against Kansas City, the LSU product is not dressed for the game today.

We’ve been told by the Seahawks he has a sore elbow. Flynn tried to throw in pre-game warm-ups, but was still in pain and could not go.

So Seattle will go with Russell Wilson as the starter today, with Tarvaris Jackson and Josh Portis as the backups.

We’ll try to get more information on the extent of Flynn’s injury after the game today.

Others who are not expected to play today include running back Marshawn Lynch, cornerback Walter Thurmond, defensive back Roy Lewis, cornerback Ron Parker, linebacker Allen Bradford, linebacker Matt McCoy, linebacker Malcolm Smith, offensive lineman John Moffitt, offensive lineman James Carpenter, tight end Cameron Morrah, receiver Doug Baldwin, defensive end Jason Jones and defensive tackle Pep Levingston.

  1. Singularitarian says:

Well that certainly isnt good. Elbows dont just stay sore for a week normally. See Carson Palmer

  2. dont know if this site will work but it claims HD for the game tonight.

  3. well, that kind of changes the whole terms of the debate.

  4. GeorgiaHawk says:

Don’t know what to make of this. I hope Flynn is alright.

  5. Wow..this changes everything..

I personally began to think that this game was bigger for Flynn than Wilson. With Wilson given the chance to set the bar with the ones and Flynn expected to come up and over Wilson as Wilson had done to Flynn…..

There are so many conjectures that could be made from this…I’m sure TNT will not disappoint…

    OH BOY HERE WE GO!

  6. hmm… didn’t some guy named Jackson play 10 games for us last year with a torn pectoral muscle attached to his throwing arm? I sure hope Matt’s little boo-boo doesn’t hurt too bad.

Let’s GO Wilson! This team needs a leader.

  7. Maybe Flynn watched the protection provided for RDub in last weeks’ game by the backups and decided hell no.

  8. ljarllrajl says:

What if T-jack lights it up?

  9. ljarlrajl… oh man, let’s please not even go there.

Wilson Must light it up tonight.

  10. shorty10 says:

Hmmm…..trade on the horizon? Jets, Cards are extremely desperate. Then TJack gets restructured and stays as #2 with Portis #3.

  11. bird_spit says:

    Trade Flynn?

Just like to remind everyone, I was the first to bring up the idea a few days ago…could happen.

  12. shorty10 says:

I’ve been thinking the same since last week, bird_spit. If RW lights it up again tonight it makes since for Flynn, TJack and payroll.

  13. Ewalters7354 says:

I’m really starting to believe this is the reason Russell Wilson is starting tonight.

  14. Sure looks suspicious.

  15. shorty10 says:

2nd rounder and Dockett for Flynn – done deal! They gave up much more for Kolb.

  16. Ewalters7354 says:

I hope T-Jack lights it up so that can increase his trade value.

  17. Harry_Anslinger says:

I think maybe this sore elbow is just to soothe the ego and sugar coat the fact the ‘Hawks feel they have to give Wilson a go with the 1st teamers.
