1976 fan, but still haven't hit 50! Found you guys year before last, but enjoy reading more than posting. Unfortunately the reading is really difficult (small) on the iPhone because I'm told the Tribune programmers can't figure out what Ems are. “Ems” (em): The “em” is a scalable unit that is used in web document media.
So just a part timer. Most sites have it figured out so that you turn the iPhone sideways, double tap the text and it's a readable size (see profootball talk.com).

I actually get a kick out of the NH posts just they're so over the top as to be not taken seriously at all. It's worse when a serious poster strikes a low blow against someone, although sometimes you do it unintentionally, or not even realizing it. I had to go back and re-read a comment I made about a Chuck post, and it didn't occur to me when writing it, but after I re-read it I winced and could only imagine what I might call a guy who posted that ;)

Read the blog a lot, don't post much. Been here since the Sando days. I still check in on him at ESPN, the stream of trolls on the comments there make it great to come back here.

T Jack is going to play his heart out for the starting job, but he can't suddenly learn vision or pocket awareness. Flynn will be Matt from GB part 2, which is fine by me with better surrounding talent. RW will be pushing them both, so I see some great comPetition and better QB play this year.

I used to be a reg on the about forum, I thought the forum host did a decent job, not the same level as Eric with an abundance of articles but good, plus it was generic NFL - but there was a really good Seahawks following there for a while, some really knowledgeable posters who would've given the cream of the crop here a run for their money - then they all just disappeared. No idea what happened. It's been dead there (at least for Hawks posts) for two seasons now, and no signs of life visible.

As for interest in the Hawks picking up, mine hasn't waned since I started watching in '84, but I know Seattle fans, pretty much as band-wagony as you can get. A good buddy went to a Hawks game the year after Favre got his ring, and the 'Dome was packed with GB green and gold!!! My buddy had a Bears jersey on, just as random weekend clothing, and another fan told him "you better watch what you wear around here"... To make it more ridiculous, we weren't even playing GB!

Oldslow began as Old But Slow on the Seattle PI boards in the 2000-2001 range. I don't think I'd refer to him as much of a regular over here based on the amount he would post at the PI. I think once the PI broke up, he started checking this place out occasionally but has never really called it home.

When Seahawks Addicts started it was pretty cool. Michael Steffes blogged a lot, and it was something new (Brian McIntyre was running seahawks.net but it was a paid site and only the Seattle PI and TNT offered a real way to communicate with other fans for free but with lots of rules). Field Gulls came out around the same time but it had a totally different feel back then with John Morgan writing almost exclusively x's and o's). Mike Sando had this blog rolling, as readers we all knew it wouldn't last. He was too good and destined for more. Along with Boling, the Tribune was definitely the Gold Standard at the time. I'd say it still is.

One of my favorite posters to read was from back in the early Sando (blogging) era. He called himself BD, short for Big Daddy. That guy was hilarious. Also a guy named Pabst and another called Seehawkswin, or "swin" for short. Duke I remember coming around in the height of the Sando era, right around 2006 or so. BobbyK came after that. I remember a long debate around Kris Dielman. Anyway, there is a lot of useless crap crawling around my brain.
