I won’t be able to make it… Bummer!

Can someone please ask about Danny Trevathan, MLB/OLB from Kentucky? How he would fit at Will and what Rob’s overall impression is of him. Could he be had in the 4th and is that good value for him?

  2. So I’m pretty sure without saying so that he said we are drafting Brockers. Get them big guys early, haha.

Seriously though thanks Rob and Eric that was great!!!

  3. Actually the most uplifting comment was about Carpenter at RT. Just let the man-child get healthy and lets hope he’s going full steam by 2013 when we make our Superbowl run.

  4. hawkdawg says:

Rob is great. I don’t understand why he said he’d rather see the Hawks not draft Kuechly at 12, though, while today his mock has the Hawks picking him at 12? Perhaps he thinks they will, but shouldn’t?

  5. Rob’s high on Flynn after watching his college games. And after watching the highlights of LSU-Auburn from 2007, I’m wondering how Flynn ever was a seventh round draft pick.

  6. You guys should be excited that Matt Hasselbeck makes his CenturyLink return to open the preseason.

  7. Canfan, from what I’ve read Flynn dropped farther in his draft than some people thought he would, maybe because he was (and still is) relatively inexperienced. He sat most of his career in college, started one year with a championship team already in place around him. In the pros, he’s done pretty much the same. Hard to imagine after what he did vs Detroit last year, but the FA season showed there is still uncertainty about him among pro coaches. Not only has he never started 16 games in the NFL, I don’t think he’s started 16 games in his lifetime.

  8. better yet, pabuwal, preseason game 1 should be Jake Locker getting most of the reps at the Clink!

  9. “Actually the most uplifting comment was about Carpenter at RT. ”

Agree with that. He’s been prematurely written off by a lot of commenters in my opinion as well.

  10. Stevos, I’m sure you’re right. If he turns out to be really good, it’s going to seem like such a waste that he spent so much time on the bench. Of course, some of that bench time, especially in Green Bay, may have helped him. I can’t wait to see him in a real game this fall.

  11. Canfan, thanks for the link. Wow! Still makes you wonder.

Stevos, thank God for that “uncertainty” during the FA season. That’s just fine for us ‘Hawk fans. You’d still think that winning a national championship would at least have teams take a flyer on him in the middle rounds. I think he would have been taken early in last years QB crazy draft.
